President and CEO of TANDBERG Television

Eric Cooney is President and CEO of TANDBERG Television. He leads the company in its mission to be the world's leading provider of live and on-demand digital TV delivery solutions, enabling broadcasters, operators and content owners to realize the full potential of their networks and to deliver digital video across any platform to any device. Eric has a strong track record in the digital broadcasting industry gained from many years of helping operators around the world to deploy digital video platforms and services.

Eric joined TANDBERG Television in 1997 and assumed his current position in June 2003. Over the past four years he has steered TANDBERG Television into profitable growth and provided the strategic vision that has enabled the company to deliver best-in-class technology and achieve a strong industry lead. Eric has driven a series of strategic acquisitions that have enabled the company to expand its market presence and leadership and deliver pioneering technology that enables new business models through IPTV, HDTV, video on demand (VOD) and interactive television.

Prior to entering the digital broadcasting market with NDS, Eric spent five years as a U.S. Naval Officer, followed by a career in systems engineering and sales in the computer process control industry. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Southern California, a Masters education in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Navy, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rochester.

Al Nuñez

Al Nuñez

President of TANDBERG Television Americas

Al Nuñez was promoted to President of Americas in May 2007. He previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales, the culmination of progressive moves through senior management at TANDBERG Television over the last 10 years. Al's primary focus is providing content providers and network operators in the Americas region with the world's most advanced television solutions. As a key member of TANDBERG Television's executive management team, Al's combination of technical, operational and market knowledge is central to driving the company, and the Americas organization, forward to the next level of success.

As Senior Vice President of Sales, Nuñez was responsible for overseeing all sales initiatives for the North and South American territories and under his driven leadership, TANDBERG Television Americas achieved record revenues and growth. He also helped to develop the Business Partner program to augment the direct sales force and ensure effective and comprehensive coverage of the cable, satellite, terrestrial, IP and telecom markets.

Before joining TANDBERG Television, Al Nuñez was Managing Director of Definitive Solutions for 14 years, a software company that provided sales management and financial information systems for medium-sized companies.

Eric Baron

Eric Baron

President of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Eric Baron was promoted to the position of President of EMEA in November 2005 having served as VP of Sales for EMEA at TANDBERG Television since December 2003. Eric is responsible for the entire P&L performance of the EMEA region and oversees the sales, delivery and support of the full range of TANDBERG Television solutions. Since joining TANDBERG Television in December 2003, Baron has built a strong direct and business partner sales organization designed to support customers in local markets across continental Europe, the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, Baron has played a key role in TANDBERG Television's significant market leadership achievements in Europe, growing the region's revenue over 40% and driving the business into new markets such as on-demand and IPTV.

Eric Baron has a strong track record in senior sales and operational management for multi-national technology companies such as Ericsson, Motorola and Sagem. He has held sales and strategic direction roles that have seen him enter new market sectors, grow market share and turn around loss making divisions for leading European technology names. A French national, Eric Baron holds an MBA from Institut Superieur De Gestion in Paris. He lives in the UK with his wife and son.

Dario Choi

Dario Choi

VP and General Manager of TANDBERG Television Asia-Pacific

As Vice President & General Manager of TANDBERG Television Asia-Pacific, Dario is responsible for TANDBERG Television's business in the Asia-Pacific region, including China, Northeast and Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He leads all commercial operations in the region which include the sales, engineering, customer support, marketing, finance and administration teams and is part of TANDBERG Television's global executive management team.

Appointed to the position in April 2008, Dario was previously Senior Sales Director, responsible for overseeing the development of TANDBERG Television's sales and business opportunities in SE & NE Asia. Dario joined TANDBERG Television in April 2003, with 13 years experience in sales, marketing and customer support in various industries, including broadcast, telco and ISP. Dario was previously with SkyStream Networks as the Managing Director of Asia-Pacific where he focused his business involvement on CATV, Terrestrial TV, Satellite DTH, TVRO, MPEG over IP, VOD, VoIP, multicast data, CAS/DRM and middleware products. He was responsible for SkyStream's Asia Pacific operations in sales, strategic planning, channel marketing and in formulating alliances with solutions vendors, consulting firms and service providers.

Dario has an Electrical Engineering degree from University of Alberta, Canada and is a member of the International Engineering Consortium and the ISP-Satellites Forum.

Roger Bolton

Executive VP of Compression Systems

A senior member of TANDBERG Television's management team, Roger Bolton heads the company's compression business unit as it continues to lead the global video encoding market. Roger oversees the development and performance of the company's compression technology and solutions to ensure that it is able to meet the content delivery requirements of broadcasters and network operators around the world. He manages key functions within TANDBERG Television including engineering, R&D and product management, and works closely with the business development and sales and marketing organizations around the world. During the past 6 years with TANDBERG Television, most recently as the VP Business Development EMEA & APAC, Roger was responsible for international business development, as well as the strategic growth of the company's key business segments - satellite, telco and terrestrial.

Prior to joining TANDBERG Television, Roger managed the Internet business solutions division of APW. He also spent several years in a number of sales and marketing roles at De La Rue. Roger has a BA in Electronics and Computing and also an MBA.

Jim Grosch

Executive VP Application Software Systems

Jim Grosch heads TANDBERG Television's application software business unit. He is responsible for all application software products and manages key functions including product management, design and development. In addition, Jim works closely with the business development and sales and marketing organizations around the world to ensure that the company's portfolio of software solutions for digital media is able to provide customers with the tools they need to build next-generation television businesses. Prior to taking up this position in 2006, Jim was SVP Operations for TANDBERG Television Americas, having joined the organization when it acquired video-on-demand innovator, N2 Broadband in 2005.

Jim Grosch was previously COO and CFO of N2 Broadband, a company he co-founded in 2000. He led all finance and operations activities from start-up to sales of over $20MM annually. Jim has over 20 years senior management experience, and has been involved in a number of successful, high technology companies, including EMS Wireless and EMS Technologies. From 1980 to 1985 he was a member of the technical staff at Bell Labs.

Jim has a MSEE degree from Stanford and a BEE degree from Georgia Tech.
